At DAS, we recognize that your involvement as parents is very crucial to the success of both the school and the future of your children. Your dedication and active participation mean everything in our pursuit of excellence in providing the best education. It is with your support that we can continue providing an excellent learning experience to your children while grooming them academically and personally in an Islamic environment.
The Role of Parents within Our School Community
Being a parent in Darul Arqam means participating in a great journey toward developing your children into aware, informed, confident personalities, not sitting as a bystander or spectator. Participation of parents’ involvement is widely welcomed and is essential to initiate positive changes, keeping in view a well-built social setup through our Islamic school.
Parent Teacher Organization
The PTO is important to the relationship among parents, students, and teachers to help build up the educational experience at Darul Arqam School, one of the top-ranking Muslim schools in New Jersey. The following describes the contribution of PTO to the success of our school:
- Collaboration: The PTO works with the administration to facilitate communication and to foster a smooth, collaborative relationship between DAS families and the school.
- Building of Community: The events or other activities the PTO puts in place build community-true-to-self students, parents, and staff together.
- Volunteerism: We encourage students and parents to be more involved in voluntary participation with certain events within the school that will help improve the bond between the school and the community.
- Supporting School Needs: The PTO, with fundraising, volunteer work, and support of many school programs, helps increase the curriculum, as well as facilitates improvements in buildings and grounds along with the entire student experience.
Volunteer Program: A Stronger Community by Active Participation
The Volunteer Program is one of the cornerstones of our school community. At Darul Arqam, as a parent, it is highly recommended that you volunteer at least 25 hours yearly to support the school in various capacities. Whether it be helping out with events, organizing fundraising, assisting with field trips, or giving a helping hand to the teachers, your time and effort will make all the difference.

- Support for Teachers: Volunteers help ease the workload of our dedicated teachers, allowing them to focus more on students and less on administrative tasks.
- Create an Impact: Your active participation will lead to a better educational experience for all DAS students.
