WINTER BREAK & JANUARY2026 SCHOOL UPDATES

Dear Respected Parents,

Assalaamu alaikum. InshaAllah you are well and in high state of iman.

Alhamdulillah, we have reached the closing of school for the 2025 winter break. While we will be relaxing our seniors will be on their Umrah trip. May their journey be safe and fulfilling. May Allah accept their umrah. Ameen. Special thanks to Sr Iman Althawadi for coordinating the trip. May Allah reward her. Ameen.

For the rest of us let’s use this time to refresh and reinvigorate ourselves so that we hit 2026 in stride. The month of January is very eventful with the Mid Term exams being the most significant. Please read and familiarize yourself with the events and dates below:

• December 24, 2025 – January 2, 2026 – Winter Break

• January 5, 2026 – School resumes

• December 27, 2025 – January 7, 2026 – Senior Umrah Trip

• January 14, 2026 – MS/ HS Science Olympiad Competition – Camdan NJ

• January 19, 2026 – MLK Day – (Half Day) – Dismissal at 12:30 PM

• January 20, 2026 – Science Olympiad team will take their midterms on the 20th of January.

• January 20–23, 2026 – Seniors on the Umrah trip will take their midterms.

• January 20, 2026 – Marking period ends; report cards – grades and attendance are due.

• January 23, 2026 – Report cards are available to parents.

• January 29, 2026 – Virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences (Middle School & High School – Half Day)

• January 30, 2026 – Virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences (Elementary – Half Day)

• Advisory Theme – Diversity

I also want to remind you that our Islamic Day is on February 8 2026. Please plan to attend as this event is for the DAS families.
