- School Portal: If you are new to the school, you will receive an email from Common Goal (School Insight/Teacherease), which is the portal we use for students’ attendance, grades, and communication.
- First Day Procedures: On the first day of school, 1st – 12th-grade students will assemble in the gym. PS-KG students will be guided by staff to their classrooms. Parents are requested NOT to enter the building.
Cell Phone Policy for the 2025-2026 School Year: students are NOT ALLOWED to bring their cell phones to school during the year. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a focused and productive learning environment for all students.
Consequences for Violations:
First Offense: The electronic telecommunication device/cell phone will be confiscated by school officials. The parent will be contacted to sign a release form for the device.
Second Offense: The phone will not be returned until the end of the school year.
Uniform Policy: All students in KG-12th are expected to be in the correct uniform from day one. If you joined later or have not received uniforms yet, please email admin@darularqam.org with your child’s name, grade, and the expected delivery date of the uniform. If your child chooses to wear a light hoodie or jacket during the school day, it must either be purchased from the vendor with the school’s logo or be all black with no images or writings and must open from the front (zipper or buttons). No clothing with designs, images, or brands will be allowed. All clothing should be labeled. Boys are required to wear dress slacks (NO jeans or khaki pants, even if they are grey). Shoes: Students should wear black dress shoes and black socks for regular school days. During gym days, students are required to wear black sneakers.
- Lunch Policy: Students must bring their own lunch. If you are interested in the Pre-Paid Lunch Program, information on that will be shared later, and the program will not begin until October. Please do not send soda or glass bottles and containers. We do not encourage sending candies or sweets; please ensure that your child has a healthy, balanced lunch. We are a nut-free school (no peanut butter sandwiches, tree nuts, etc.) due to students with allergies. There are water fountains around the building, and we recommend students bring refillable water bottles labeled with their names.
- Summer Work: Summer work is available through the school’s website and must be completed for students entering KG-12th. If you joined the school later in the summer, your child’s teacher will provide additional time to complete the work. Please inform the teacher once school begins. Summer work is important and will be counted as quiz/test grades for the first marking period.
