2027 important reminder school uniform

Assalamu Alaikum Dear Parents,

This is an important reminder regarding the Darul Arqam School Uniform Policy. Please review pages 19–20 of the 2026–2027 Parent-Student Handbook with your child and make sure they are following the requirements.

As stated in the handbook:

• Students in KG through 12th grade are required to wear the school uniform daily.
• Students attending any Darul Arqam-related event, whether on or off school premises, must also wear the school uniform, unless the administration specifically informs students and parents that different clothing is permitted.
• The handbook lists the required uniform items for each grade level, including the appropriate shirts, pants, jumpers, abayas, cardigans, and gym uniforms.
• All girls from KG through 12th grade are required to wear a scarf/head covering as part of the school uniform.
• Students in K–7th grade must wear a one-piece or two-piece slip-in hijab; wraparound hijabs are not permitted.
• Students in 8th–12th grade must wear hijab properly, and both slip-in and wraparound hijabs are permitted.
• An improper hijab, including hair, neck, ears, or back showing, or wearing a transparent covering, is considered a dress-code violation.
• During the school day, sweaters, hoodies, and other outerwear must either be purchased from Flynn & O’Hara with the school logo or be plain black without writing, images, mixed colors, or prints.
• The handbook also specifies the appropriate uniform and gym footwear and other requirements for both boys and girls.

Uniform Violation Fines

Please also be aware that uniform violations are subject to the following fines:

• 1st Offense: $20
• 2nd Offense: $25
• 3rd Offense: $50

The handbook states that students are responsible for coming to school in the proper uniform and that dress-code violations, including scarf violations, will result in notices and disciplinary action.

We kindly ask all parents to ensure that their children come to school properly dressed and in full compliance with the uniform policy each day. Please review pages 19–20 of the handbook for the complete uniform requirements.

Thank you for your cooperation and continued support in helping us maintain a disciplined and appropriate school environment.

Jazakum Allahu Khairan,
