2025 – 2026 Intramural Sports & Field Day

Dear DAS Family,

Assalamu ‘Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatu!

InshaAllah you are well and in high state of iman.

JazakAllah to all of our parents who attended our PTC yesterday. When children see their parents and teachers communicate about their achievement and development they tend to more focus and diligent in their work. 

This year as part of our big push to build on events that enhance student life at DAS. we have introduced our Intramural competitions. Students have divided into 3 houses and will compete in a variety of sports activities starting next Tuesday including basketball, soccer for boys and volleyball for girls. Our track and field competitions have been scheduled for May 21 at Varga Park/ Pacers Field. Please see flyer attached.

During this day students in all grades will compete in age appropriate races for their respective houses.  On this day students should be dropped off at the park at the usual school time however, pick up time will be by 1:30pm when all events are expected to be completed. Students should walk with their snacks/ water/ and lunch. Prepaid lunch will be served as usual.

We hope to make this a truly wonderful and enjoyable day for students and we need many parent volunteers. Now is a good time for parents to complete their volunteer hours. A form for parents to complete indicating their availability for volunteering on that day will be sent out next week.
