Model UN at Darul Arqam School
At Darul Arqam School, the Islamic school in NJ, students are developed as critical thinkers, innovators, communicators, and collaborators nationally and internationally through the Model United Nations. This popular afterschool club makes it very easy to understand and perform the UN ambassadors’ and actors’ roles in international diplomacy.
What is Model UN?
The Model UN is a very interactive simulation of the United Nations wherein students engage in active debate and work out solutions to current global problems. The students, representing different member states of the UN, delve into the details of international relations by:
- Delivering speeches on the most relevant and timely global topics.
- Drafting and proposing resolutions to complex problems.
- Holding strategic negotiations with allies and adversaries.
- Conflict resolution through collaboration and diplomacy.
- Following the rules and procedures of a conference in order to conduct it officially, will ensure fairness and effectiveness.
Building Essential Skills
